Not many thought prior to the season that the San Francisco 49ers will be undefeated until at least Week 5, but here they are, on top of the NFC West with a spotless win-loss record. They will put that on the line this Sunday, when they go up against the Los Angeles Rams, who are looking to stop a losing streak. The 49ers are +1400 to win Super Bowl 54, while the Rams are +2000 to do so.

Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (4-0)
It’s time to consider the 49ers as true power in the NFC. That’s after they steamrolled their way past the Cleveland Browns last Monday in a 31-3 home win. The Niners could do nothing wrong in that game despite coming off a bye. They were the ones who looked fresher and hungrier, and they were doing it on both sides of the ball. Jimmy Garoppolo passed for 181 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, while Matt Breida ran all over the Browns for 114 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Overall, the Niners rushed for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Breida can pounce on the Rams’ defense that has been bogging down of late. The Rams just allowed Chris Carson to dismantle them on the ground last week, and Breida and company could be in for the same type of success. The 49ers are tops in the league with 200.0 rushing yards per game.
The 49ers are 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last four games.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (3-2)
The Rams suddenly found themselves in a losing streak pit from which they want to get out of. But first, they have to fix their aforementioned bad defense. That said, the offense has been humming, as the team has scored 85 points over their last two games, a span that includes their 30-29 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5. Jared Goff passed for 395 yards and a touchdown against an interception, while completing 29 of 49 passes, while Todd Gurley rushed for a couple of touchdowns on 15 carries. Tight end Gerald Everett, meanwhile, exploded for 136 receiving yards on just seven catches. Make no mistake about it, the Rams remain owners of a lethal offense that could take down any type of defense it faces. Los Angeles is sixth in the NFL with 29.2 points per game and fifth with 413.6 total yards per contest.
The Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last five games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Rams win, 27-23.
