Philadelphia Eagles vs Miami Dolphins Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NFL Week 13 – December 1 2019

The Philadelphia Eagles are still trying to catch the Dallas Cowboys atop the NFC East. They can inch closer or maybe tie their division rivals if they can beat the lowly Miami Dolphins on the road this coming Sunday. The Dolphins, meanwhile, will look to get their third win of the season to salvage some measure of respect.

Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)

The Eagles had a forgettable Week 12. Carson Wentz and company was no match for the Seattle Seahawks in a 17-9 home loss to Russell Wilson and company. Carson Wentz was ineffective and was a mess under center. He completed 33 of 45 passes for 256 passing yards and a touchdown, but committed two interceptions  and lost two fumbles, while also getting sacked three times for a loss of 18 yards. The Eagles’ offense did not function well at all, and it’s something they need to fix quick. However, even with a disjointed offense, the Eagles have no reason to look lackluster against the Dolphins, who have, in terms of statistics, the worst defense in the entire NFL. The Dolphins are last in the league with 31.5 points allowed per game and 32nd overall in points allowed per play.

The Eagles, who are scoring 22.1 points and racking up 338.4 total yards per game, are 5-5 straight up (SU) and 6-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games away from Philly.

Betting on the Miami Dolphins (2-9)

Whatever good vibes the Dolphins got from a recent two-game winning streak is now gone after losing their last two games to the Buffalo Bills (37-20) and the Cleveland Browns (41-24). Veteran signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick had two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions and finished with 214 passing yards on 21-of-39 completions against Cleveland. Even though the Browns didn’t have Myles Garrett, the Dolphins’ offensive line still gave up four sacks for a loss of 22 yards. Not much is expected each game from a tanking team like Miami, but from time to time, it can bite, as exemplified by their wins over the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts.

The Dolphins are 2-1 ATS in their last three home games. The over is 2-0 in their last two games in South Beach.

Writer’s Prediction

The Eagles win, 31-13.
