The Kansas Jayhawks (+1100 to win the national title) are third as of the moment in the Big 12, and anyone who’s followed the conference over the past several years is used to seeing the conference being ruled by Bill Self and his boys. The Jayhawks will look to show their dominance against the Texas Longhorns (+20000), who are in the bottom half of the league and are hoping to score an upset at home against the Jayhawks.

Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks (13-3 Overall/3-1 Conference)
After taking a 67-55 home loss to the surging Baylor Bears, the Jayhawks bounced back and defeated the Oklahoma Sooners in Norman on Tuesday, 66-52. The Jayhawks were able to carve out a win despite missing their top scorer in Devon Dotson, who skipped the game due to a hip injury. Dotson, who is averaging 18.0 points per game, is said to be dealing with a hip pointer, though, it doesn’t sound serious enough to keep him out for an extended time. But even if Dotson needs more time to heal up, it seems that guard Isaiah Moss is ready to fill the void, at least temporarily. Moss started in place of Dotson in the Sooners game and fired a game-high 20 points, including six 3-pointers on 11 attempts from deep. Kansas will look to flex its muscle beneath the glass against Texas, as the Jayhawks are 44th in the nation with 39.1 rebounds per game to just 33.9 for the Longhorns.
The Jayhawks are 7-3 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Texas Longhorns (11-4 Overall / 1-2 Conference)
Defense has been an asset for the Longhorns this season, and that was exactly the case in their 64-50 win over the Kansas State Wildcats at home last Saturday. The Wildcats shot just 37.0 percent from the field and committed 18 turnovers with the Longhorns pestering Kansas City on defense from start to finish. The Longhorns are allowing just 60.7 points per game, which is 21st in the nation, as of this writing. Opposing teams are also finding it hard to find open men to shoot, as evidenced by the fact that they are averaging just 9.2 assists per game against Texas. Texas’ offense is led by Matt Coleman, who is putting up 12.3 points per game and had 14 against Kansas State. Jase Febres had four of the Longhorns’ 10 blocks against Kansas State, personifying Texas’ tough rim defense. Texas is fifth in the Big 12 with 4.33 blocks per game.
The under is 2-0 in the Longhorns’ last two home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Kansas wins, 65-60.
