Jalen Hurts has gotten the nod for at least one more start, and he’ll look to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to another victory in Week 15 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are currently occupying the last wildcard spot in the playoff picture in the NFC. Needless to say, this is a very crucial game for them.

After leading the Eagles to an upset victory over the New Orleans Saints, Jalen Hurts is the only right answer to the question, “who should start for Philly in Week 15?” Hurts took over Carson Wentz’s job in Week 14 and had 167 passing yards and a touchdown on 17-of-30 completions in a 24-31 home win against New Orleans. But where he did the most damage was on the ground, as Hurts had 106 rushing yards on 18 carries. The dynamism that Hurts injected into the Eagles’ offense is what head coach Doug Pederson is expecting to see again this coming Sunday against the Cardinals. Having a dual-threat quarterback in Hurts could be a big key to abusing the Cards’ defense for Philly. Arizona struggles against the run this season, as it is just 18th in the league with 119.5 rushing yards allowed per game.
The under is 7-3 in the Eagles’ last 10 road games.
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (-5.5)
Regular Season Record: 7-6
It was the Cardinals who stopped the New York Giants’ winning streak. Arizona defeated Daniel Jones and the Giants, 26-7, on the road last Sunday, with the Cards’ defense leading the way. The Cardinals were unforgiving of Jones, whom they sacked six times, resulting in a 52-yard loss for the Giants. The Cardinals actually had eight sacks in that game, with the other two taken by Colt McCoy. With Arizona’s defense waking up, the Cardinals are looking forward to being the first team to absolutely rattle Hurts. The rookie out of the Oklahoma Sooners program will have to be baptized by fire at some point in his career in the pros, and Sunday could be the day he’d get it against Arizona’s defense that’s 11th in the league with 344.5 total yards allowed per game and fifth in opponents’ yards per pass (6.3).
The over is 4-0 in the Cardinals’ last four home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cardinals win, 24-21.
