The Aggies are still in search of a Quadrant 1 win, which they have a chance of getting this Saturday against Arkansas. Texas A&M is fresh off a 63-57 home loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The Aggies were a point away from covering the spread in that game as 5.5-point home underdogs, but they will enter Saturday’s matchup against Arkansas with two covers in their last three road games. One thing about Texas A&M is that it plays a super slow brand of basketball. The Aggies are 341st in the nation in adjusted tempo with just 64.4 possessions per 40 minutes. That’s the opposite of Arkansas’ pace, as the Razorbacks are 22nd overall in adjusted tempo. That pace is largely why Texas A&M is 45th in the nation with just 64.9 points allowed per game.

Arkansas is looking like a team nobody wants to deal with right now. The Razorbacks defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks last Tuesday, 101-73, and with that, they were able to extend their win streak to seven games, going into this Saturday’s matchup with Texas A&M. That’s a serious run for Arkansas, which has defeated the likes of the Florida Gators, Missouri Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, and the LSU Tigers along the way. The Razorbacks have used a suffocating defense to punish their opponents, who have shot just 38.5 percent from the field and averaged only 69.1 points over Arkansas’ current undefeated stretch. Arkansas’ offense isn’t too shabby, either.
Arkansas, which is fifth in the nation with 83.2 points per game, is 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 home games.
