Betting on the Green Bay Packers (+4.0)
Regular Season Record: 6-8
The Packers have themselves a winning streak going again. After beating the Chicago Bears on the road in Week 15, the Packers took down the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field last Monday, 24-12. Aaron Rodgers went 22/30 for a touchdown and an interception with 229 passing yards versus the Rams while running back AJ Dillon rumbled for two rushing touchdowns. Rodgers could be due for a huge game this coming weekend, as he will be dealing with a Dolphins defense that is allowing 246.3 passing yards per game – just 27th in the NFL. The Dolphins are also fourth-worst in the league with a 1.35 defensive interception rate.
The Packers are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games when playing on Sunday after a Monday night assignment.
Betting on the Miami Dolphins (-4.0)
Regular Season Record: 8-6
The Dolphins will look to stop the bleeding, having lost all of their last three games. The last time they were on the field, the Fins lost to the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 15, 32-29. That game was played in cold weather, so the Tua Tagovailoa and company should love it that they’re finally going to play at home where the temperature is warmer – and friendlier. The pair of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as always, will be a huge threat downfield for Miami opponents. The Packers have a great secondary, but there aren’t a lot of WR duos that are better than what the Dolphins have in Hill and Waddle, who have 1,529 and 1,117 receiving yards this season, respectively.
The Dolphins are 20-8 against the spread in their last 28 home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Packers win, 27-24.
