Carmelo Anthony dominated the Pistons the last time these two teams met. In the Knicks’ 108-96 win over Detroit on December 29, Anthony led all scorers with 24 points. With the Knicks crumbling lately, going 1-6 SU in their past seven games, Anthony needs to be at his best again for New York to take down Detroit.

As for the Pistons, they are looking to exploit New York’s defense that has allowed 105.9 points per game over the last seven outings. On the flipside, the Pistons are putting up 102.1 PPG on the season. The Knicks are 2-0 ATS in their last two games in Detroit, while the Pistons are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS in their last four at home versus New York.

Writer’s Prediction

Detroit wins, 108-101.

Best Games to Bet on: Knicks vs Pistons & Islanders vs Capitals

After laying out Minnesota in a 5-3 win on Tuesday, the Islanders head to Washington for a showdown with the league-leading Capitals. The Isles are hoping to do better this time than in the first meeting with Washington—a 4-1 loss on January 7—particularly on offense after netting 12 goals in their past three outings.

The Caps, on the other hand, are on a mini slump, having dropped their last two contests. The Islanders, who are eighth in the league in scoring with 2.7 goals for per game, are 3-2 in their last five road games. The Caps are 8-2 in their last 10 at home.

Writer’s Prediction

Washington wins, 3-2.
