Betting on the Atlanta Falcons (1-4)
The Falcons picked up their fourth loss of the season last Sunday, as they got folded up by the Houston Texans on the road, 53-32. The score simply tells all you need how the game went. The Falcons got it going on offense, but their defense wasted it all. Matt Ryan had 330 passing yards and three touchdowns with an interception on 32-for-46 completions. Despite a solid passing performance by Ryan, Julio Jones wasn’t a big part of it, as the talented wide receiver only had 42 receiving yards on three receptions and seven targets. Jones only managed to get 94 receiving yards in the last two games, and those are frustrating numbers given the quality of player Jones is. Ryan, Jones, and the rest of the Falcons’ offense should be in for a field day against Arizona, which is fourth-worst in the league in total defense.
The over is 2-0 in the Falcons’ last two road games.
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (1-3-1)
Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury finally tasted victory in the pros as a quarterback and head coach, respectively. Last Sunday, the bad Cardinals team ruled over a bad Cincinnati Bengal team in a 26-23 road win. Murray passed for 253 yards on 20-for-32 completions. He also rushed the ball for 93 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Murray’s talent was on full display, and the bad Cardinals ‘defense helped them do all those things on the field. The Falcons are also inept on defense, and it could spell yet another fantastic performance from the dual-threat rookie quarterback. The Falcons are just 31st in the league with 30.4 points allowed amd 23rd with 378.2 total yards given up per contest. The Falcons have also a nearly-nonexistent pass rush that has come up with only five sacks so far this season. In other words. Murray will have a bigger space to move around.
The under us 3-2 in the Falcons’ last five home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Falcons win, 33-27.
