Marcus Mariota had one of his best performances in a long time last Sunday, as he went 13/14 for 129 passing yards (2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions) and also rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Running back Cordarelle Patterson is on injured reserve, but with Mariota, rookie Tyler Allgeier, and Caleb Huntley, the Falcons’ ground attack can continue to be steady. Cincinnati’s defense can be stingy, but the Bengals just allowed nearly 30 points to a Saints team that was missing three key wide receivers.
The Falcons are 6-3-1 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (-5.5)
Regular Season Record: 3-3
Joe Burrow went 28/37 for 300 passing yards and three touchdowns without an interception in the win over the Saints. Life is almost always good for Burrow when he’s got Ja’Marr Chase downfield. Chase exploded for 132 receiving yards and two touchdowns on just seven receptions versus the Saints. Burrow and Chase could put up immense numbers anew in Week 7 versus Atlanta’s pass defense that walked into Week 6 ranked just 29th in the NFL with 278.2 passing yards allowed per game.
The Bengals are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Bengals win, 26-21.
