Atlanta Falcons vs Cleveland Browns Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NFL Week 10 – November 11 2018

The 4-4 Atlanta Falcons are feeling pretty good right now. And why shouldn’t they? After all, they are on a three-game unbeaten streak, which they will look to extend this weekend against the Cleveland Browns. The 2-6-1 Browns are back in a very familiar malaise, as they haven’t won a game since Week 5. Will they snap that skid at the expense of Atlanta?

Going into this Sunday’s game, the Falcons are listed at +3,500 to win the NFC South, while the Browns are an unlikely +25,000 to win the AFC North.

Betting on the Atlanta Falcons (4-4)

We now live in a year in which Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has scored a touchdown. After a long wait, Jones finally found the end zone for the first time since 2017 during last Sunday’s dominant 38-14 road win over the Washingt0n Redskins. With or without that touchdown, Jones will be a man to watch in this coming weekend’s matchup with the Browns. Jones is nearing the 1,000 receiving yards plateau, as he now has 933 on 60 receptions. He’s going to earn much attention from the Browns’ defense, but Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan isn’t short on talented targets. He still have the pair of Calvin Ridley and Tevin Coleman, who had 71 and 68 receiving yards in the Washington game. Ryan is churning out MVP-like numbers on an almost weekly basis, and he’ll look to continue that trend against the Browns’ defense that ranks just 27th in pass defense. Conversely, the Falcons are eighth in the league with 28.5 points per game.

Atlanta is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS in its last three road games.

Betting on the Cleveland Browns (2-6-1)

The Browns’ post-Hue Jackson era started off on a bad note, as the team absorbed a 37-21 home loss at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. It was never an easy task for the Browns to take down Kansas City, and it’s another tall order for them to beat another high-scoring team in the form of the Falcons. But while the Browns seemingly have one of the worst passing defenses in the league, their secondary can be pretty stingy for opposing receivers. In fact, Browns opponents have the fifth lowest passing completion percentage in the NFL with a 60.88 clip. On offense, Cleveland will continue to rely on the arm of Baker Mayfield, who went 29-of-42 for 297 passing yards and two touchdowns with an interception. The Falcons have a bad defense that allows 304.2 passing yards and 412.8 total yards, 29th and 28th in the NFL, respectively, which the Browns could take advantage of.

Cleveland is 3-2 ATS in its last five home games.

Writer’s Prediction

Atlanta wins, 31-27.
