Wow! Did anyone actually see that one coming? Nick Saban must be kicking himself right now after that improbable 34-28 win by Auburn. The Crimson Tide’s road to the BCS just got much harder — or worse, completely blocked.
After tying the game with Sammy Coates’ 39-yard rushing TD, Auburn saved the best for last as kick returner Chris Davis caught Adam Griffith’s missed 57-yard field goal and ran it all the way for a game-winning touchdown.
Needless to say, it was pandemonium at Jordan-Hare Stadium as the Tigers’ faithful celebrated a giant victory at the expense of the Crimson Tide’s BCS hopes.
