Kyle Lowry, Jrue Holiday, and Jeff Teague are all hitched up with new contracts but that doesn’t mean that the free agent point guard cupboard is now bare, as plenty of veterans are still looking for jobs. Below we list down the top three remaining point guards left unsigned as of the moment.

Top 2017 NBA Free Agent Point Guards left
George Hill
There’s a good chance that by the time you are reading, Hill has already inked a new contract. Hill has attracted plenty of interest this offseason but, as of this writing, is still floating around free agency. With the biggest fishes in Kyle Lowry, Jeff Teague, and Jrue Holiday off the market, Hill is now the best free agent point guard available. The Indiana-native is 31-years-old so teams are a little bit prudent in determining exactly the configurations of the contract they’ll offer Hill, but in any case, the team that’ll earn Hill’s nod will get a solid floor director that averaged 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists last season.
Derrick Rose
Rose is no longer a superstar no thanks to the bevy of injuries that have stripped his body much of the zing that helped propel him to MVP status. Rose, however, is still a terrific commodity to have in the backcourt when healthy. In 64 games for the New York Knicks last season, Rose managed to put up 18.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per contest. Rose is reportedly not interested in going back to the Knicks and is most recently reported to be in a meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks. Given his health issues, it would be interesting how much money Rose would get this summer.
Rajon Rondo
If only Rondo could shoot, he unlikely to see this much time as a free agent. Rondo was recently waived by the Chicago Bulls after a topsy-turvy season in Windy City. As gifted of a passer as he is, Rondo’s lack of perimeter game has hurt his stock over the past few years in which we’ve seen the rise of the score-first point guards. Chicago’s loss could be the Los Angeles Lakers’ gain, as the team is reportedly entertaining the idea of bringing the NBA champion guard to Tinseltown, primarily to act as a mentor and backup to Lonzo Ball. Rondo has long cemented his place as an all-time Boston Celtics great and is now facing the possibility of playing for his ex-team’s biggest rival in the Lakers. Whether that happens is something we’ll have to wait.
