What in the world is happening to the Los Angeles? The Lakers crashed to their second straight defeat with a humiliating 106-77 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. Six Atlanta players scored in double-figures against the Lakers who have now lost 10 of their last 11 games.

Things are bound to get tougher for the reeling Lakers as standing in their way tonight are the Golden State Warriors. The defending champions have been sensational on the road this season, winning 29 of their 34 away games thus far this campaign. The Warriors have defeated the Lakers by an average of 24.3 points in their first three meetings this season.

The Toronto Raptors stretched their unbeaten run to two games with a nerve-wracking 117-115 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. DeMar DeRozan scored a season-high 38 points for the surging Raptors who moved to within two games of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

They will look to slice that deficit even further when they face the Houston Rockets later tonight. They will fancy their chances of doing just that as they have fared extremely well against the Rockets at home of late. The Raptors have won their last eight meetings with the Rockets at Air Canada Centre.
