Opening proceedings this evening is the much-anticipated showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Following shortly thereafter is the clash between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Six players scored in double-figures for the Clippers who moved 5.5 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies for fourth place in the Western Conference with nine games to play.The Clippers will look to keep the momentum going when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves later tonight. For the Clips to accomplish that feat, they will need to continue their stellar play on the offensive end. They are averaging 104.4 points per game this season, seventh in the NBA this campaign. Doc Rivers’ men dropped an average of 106.3 points against the Wolves in their first three meetings this season.
The Clippers are 2-1 SU and 0-2-1 ATS against the Wolves this season.

The Heat have recorded two straight wins to climb up to fourth place in the Eastern Conference (43-30). The same can’t be said about the slumping Lakers, who are languishing at the bottom of the Western Conference standings with a horrendous 15-59 record. They are coming off a humiliating 123-75 loss to Utah on Monday.
The Heat have won nine of their last 10 meetings with the Lakers. The Lakers, however, have covered the spread in four of those 10 games. The Heat are 6-4 SU and ATS in their last 10 road games. The Lakers, on the other hand, are 3-7 SU and ATS in their last 10 home games.
