The Los Angeles Dodgers face off against their big National League West division rivals, the San Francisco Giants, for the first time this season later today. That’s not the only high-profile sporting action happening in Oakland today, though, as the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors engage in a heavyweight matchup between two NBA championship contenders.

Later tonight, the Giants will send Jake Peavy for his first start of the season. Peavy was 6-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 10 home starts last year. The Giants are 8-0 in Peavy’s last eight starts at AT&T Park.

As for the Dodgers, they’ll give the ball to Alex Wood. Wood went 7-7 with a 3.87 ERA in 20 road starts in 2015. The Dodgers are 6-2 in their last eight games against San Francisco.

That stretch begins with a matchup with the San Antonio Spurs, who are coming off an 88-86 win over Utah in Tuesday to extend their win streak to four games.

The Spurs, who averaged 97.8 points per game during that span, are 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games. The Warriors have lost two of their last three games and will be entering tonight’s contest after a 124-117 overtime loss at the hands of the T’wolves. Golden State is first in the league with 115.3 PPG. The team is also 2-0 ATS in its last two home games versus the Spurs.
