[sc:NBA240banner ]Kevin Durant has started the year off right. In the five games since returning from an ankle injury, Durant is averaging close to 30 points per game. But Durant will need a little help from his teammates if the Thunder are to snap their three-game road losing streak in Houston.

The Rockets, though, will be on the second night of a back-to-back after losing at Orlando, 120-113, last night. The loss snapped their four-game winning streak. James Harden has kept up his MVP play, scoring 25 or more points in his last four games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Thunder bring down the Rockets on the road.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Los Angeles Lakers (10:30 PM ET)

Line: Cleveland Cavaliers (-6) at Los Angeles Lakers (+6); total 205.0 – view all NBA lines

It’s creeping ever closer to crisis mode in Cleveland. Not even 33 points from the returning LeBron James could deliver the Cavaliers a much needed win against the Suns on Tuesday. The Cavs’ loss was their sixth in a row, which dropped them below .500 at 19-20 on the season.

The Cavs head to LA to face the struggling Lakers, who’ve lost four of their last five games. Kobe Bryant struggled mightily in his return to the lineup after a couple of games out. He had 12 points and shot just 3-for-19 from the field. Bryant has just 16 points on 5-for-31 shooting in his last two games.

Writer’s Prediction

LeBron finally lifts the Cavs to a win and cover on the road against the Lakers. Create a betting account now to take part in some star-studded NBA showdowns.
