[sc:NBA240banner ]Oklahoma City’s brief two-game road trip started off on the wrong foot. They fell short to the Hawks, 106-100, despite huge efforts from their All-Star duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who poured in 59 points combined. That loss was their seventh setback of the season. The Thunder will look to immediately bounce back when they travel to Miami.
The Heat, meanwhile, will also have their eyes set on redemption. Their four-game home stand opened up with a tough loss to the gritty Celtics, 105-95. Dwyane Wade erupted for a season-high of 30 points with four rebounds and four assists while Chris Bosh contributed a double-double output of 21 points and 10 boards.
Miami is 7-3 SU and ATS in its last 10 meetings with OKC.
Writer’s Prediction
Heat (+2) bounce back, 101-97, thanks to another strong outing from Wade and Bosh.
Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Green Bay Packers (-3) at Detroit Lions (+3); total: 46.5 – view all NFL lines
After finally ending their three-game slide at the expense of Minnesota, the Green Bay Packers’ offensive woes haunted them once more on Thursday night. They lost to the Jay Cutler-led Bears and were held to a season-low of 13 points. Aaron Rodgers and company are now 1-4 in their last five while averaging just 17.0 points per game in those four losses.
The Packers will try to solve their issues and hopefully get back on track when they take on the Detroit Lions for the second time this season. The Lions are fresh off a 31-point win over the Eagles and have now won three-straight games. QB Matthew Stafford has been excellent, throwing for 861 yards with seven touchdowns during that stretch. He’ll look to sustain his fine form and lead his team towards its fourth-straight triumph.
Detroit is 4-2 SU and 2-4 ATS at home this year while Green Bay is 3-2 SU and ATS on the road.
Writer’s Prediction
Green Bay (-3) wins, 24-20. Create a betting account now and bet on the best games for tonight.
