Line: San Diego Chargers (+8.5) at Denver Broncos (-8.5); total: 52.0 – view all NFL lines
Peyton Manning will look to replicate his stunning performance against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday when the Broncos host the San Diego Chargers later tonight. Manning was exceptional last time out, completing 22 of 26 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns as he broke Brett Favre’s all-time NFL touchdown passing record (now stands at 510).
The Chargers will be a tough opponent as they are third in the league in passing defense this season with opponents averaging just 209.6 yards against them. The Chargers are desperate to bounce back from their 23-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday which was their first defeat in six games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Broncos win but the Chargers cover.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Detroit Red Wings (7:30 PM ET)
Line: Pittsburgh Penguins (-110) at Detroit Red Wings (-110); total: 5.5 – view all NHL lines
The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings will want nothing more than a win later tonight after absorbing disappointing losses in their last outings. Pittsburgh failed to score on the man advantage for the first time this season as they lost 5-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers last night.
They will look to get their offense going against the Detroit Red Wings who were unlucky in their 2-1 overtime defeat to the Montreal Canadiens. It won’t be that easy, though, as the Red Wings are third in the NHL in goals allowed this season with Detroit allowing an average of just 1.5 goals per contest.
Writer’s Prediction
The Red Wings shut out the Penguins. Create a betting account now and cash in on these exciting matchups.
