The Blue Jays have not lost in Francisco Liriano’s last six starts and they will look to keep it going with the 11-year veteran on the mound, aiming to get his 100th career victory. Liriano is 3-2 with a 5.36 ERA in 10 starts this season. Over at the other side, the Rangers will have Nick Martinez facing Toronto’s hitters. Martinez (1-3, 4.67 ERA) hasn’t won so far this year at home. He is 6-19 with a 4.53 in 21 home starts since 2014.
Writer’s Prediction
Texas wins, 5-4.

Strikeout machine Chris Sale is back on the mound later tonight five days after unfortunately taking an L despite a tremendous performance in Philadelphia. Sale fanned 10 Phillies and allowed just one run on four hits in eight innings of a 1-0 road loss on June 15. He’ll look to bounce back at Kauffman Stadium, where the Royals are 4-2 in Sale’s last six starts there. Kansas City will have Matt Strahm on the mound, making just his second start of the season. Strahm has a 3.67 ERA this year.
Writer’s Prediction
Boston wins, 5-2.
