*All odds as of November 20.
TEAM | TRENDS |
---|---|
Carolina Panthers | 6-0 SU and ATS in last 6 games; 7-3 ATS overall |
New Orleans Saints | 5-1 SU and ATS in last 6 meetings vs Atlanta |
Indianapolis Colts | 4-1 SU and ATS on the road this season |
San Francisco 49ers | 4-1-1 ATS in its last 6 road games |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 3-0 ATS record in last 3 games |
1. Carolina Panthers (-4.5)
Next Game: at Miami Dolphins (November 24, 1:00 PM ET)
It’s official: the Panthers are for real. After consecutive wins against both the 49ers and the Patriots, Carolina is now 6-0 SU and ATS in last 6 games, tied for the longest active winning streak in the NFL. Their current run has also catapulted them to the top of the overall ATS standings with a 7-3 season mark.
The Panthers will be road favorites for only the second time this season against the slumping Dolphins, who are just 2-5 SU and ATS in their last 7 games.
2. New Orleans Saints (-9.5)
Next Game: at Atlanta Falcons (November 21, 8:25 PM ET)
[sc:NFL240banner ]After two very good wins over the Cowboys and 49ers, the 8-2 Saints now march into Atlanta to face the 2-8 Falcons. The Falcons – last year’s division champs – have been ravaged by injuries, while the Saints are poised to reclaim their crown.
New Orleans has gone 5-1 SU and ATS in their last 6 meetings with Atlanta. It’s a record that’s poised to improve as the Falcons are also a league-worst 2-8 ATS this season, including four losses in a row.
3. Indianapolis Colts (+1)
Next Game: at Arizona Cardinals (November 24, 4:05 PM ET)
Indianapolis hasn’t looked impressive since its upset of the Broncos, enough to dissuade the oddsmakers from making it a favorite on the road over the Cardinals. That shouldn’t faze Andrew Luck and the Colts, who are 4-1 SU and ATS on the road this season.
And since any SU win would also win the spread, it should also bode well that Indianapolis is also 4-1 SU in their last 5 games against Arizona.
4. San Francisco 49ers (-5)
Next Game: at Washington Redskins (November 25, 8:30 PM ET)
The 49ers are desperate to bounce back after two close losses, and they can do just that when they head to Washington to face the 3-7 Redskins. San Francisco is pretty comfortable on the road, going 4-1-1 ATS in its last 6 road games.
The Niners are also adept at handling the Redskins, with a 10-3 SU record in their last 13 meetings.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+9)
Next Game: at Detroit Lions (November 24, 1:00 PM ET)
It’s time to believe in Tampa! After an awful 0-8 start, he Buccaneers have won back-to-back SU games. And don’t forget how they pushed the 16-point favorite Seahawks all the way to ignite a 3-0 ATS record in their last 3 games.
Their next opponents, meanwhile, are the 6-4 Detroit Lions (5-5 ATS) who have not been favored by more than 4 points the entire season.
Also, expect some points to be scored between these two teams. The over has gone 6-0 in Tampa Bay’s last six games, while the over has also gone 4-1 in the Lions’ last five games.
