Betting on Chelsea
Chelsea are champions of England once again. The Blues were made to work harder than expected by West Brom, but they eventually broke through with substitute Michy Batshuayi’s 82nd-minute goal which was enough to get the title-clinching 1-0 win.
Manager Antonio Conte will likely make more than a few changes to his starting lineup, especially with a relatively quick turnaround after just playing on Friday. However, there’s still a ton of quality to his team even if does decide to tinker.
Batshuayi should be given the start after providing the title-winning goal, as should legendary captain John Terry, who is winding down a glittering Chelsea career.
Chelsea will want to put on a show for their home crowd at Stamford Bridge, which should be in title-celebrating mode. The Blues have been simply irresistible at home, where they’ve won 13 of their last 14 games. Moreover, they’re unbeaten in their last nine meetings in all competitions against Watford (seven wins, two draws).
Betting on Watford
Watford just can’t wait for the season to be over with. The Hornets—who’ve seemingly started their summer early—lost their fourth game in a row in a 1-0 defeat to Everton on Friday, as they also failed to score for the fourth game running.
Even with Chelsea possibly set for a bit of a hangover after clinching just three days ago, this unmotivated Watford team that’s now safe from relegation don’t seem to stand a chance against the champions, especially since they’ll be away from home.
Watford have been simply horrendous on their travels of late. They’ve dropped their last six games outside of Vicarage Road, and have also been shut out in all six games.
