Chicago Bears vs New York Giants Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview | NFL Week 4 – October 2, 2022

Say what you want to say about the Chicago Bears but they are 2-1 after three weeks of football. In their most recent outing, the Bears scored a 23-20 home win against the Houston Texans at home in Week 3 to rebound from a 27-10 annihilation at the hands of the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 2. As for the New York Giants, that’s the kind of resiliency they’d like to show up with this coming Sunday after suffering a 23-16 home loss to the Dallas Cowboys Monday night – their first defeat of the season. Check out our preview of this Bears vs Giants game in Week 4 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Betting Preview for the Chicago Bears vs New York Giants Week 4 Game on October 2, 2022

Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey

When: Sunday, October 2, 2022, 1:00 PM ET

Line: Chicago Bears (+3.5) vs New York Giants (-3.5) – view all 2022 NFL lines

TV Broadcast: NFL Network

Betting on the Chicago Bears (+3.5)

Regular Season Record: 2-1

The Bears overcame yet another subpar performance from quarterback Justin Fields in their win over Houston. Fields was just 8/17 for 106 passing yards and zero touchdowns plus two interceptions. The good thing for them was that Khalil Herbert was able to step up after David Montgomery exited the game with an ankle injury. Montgomery is questionable for the Giants game, but the Bears can still find success with Herbert, who rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries versus Houston. Chicago’s defense is also holding up so far this season, making timely plays often when the team needs it the most.

The Bears are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven Week 4 outings.

Bet on the Chicago Bears

Betting on the New York Giants (-3.5)

Regular Season Record: 2-1

The Giants faceplanted in the loss to Dallas at home. Daniel Jones went 20/37 for 196 passing yards (0 TD, 1 INT), while also getting sacked five times for a loss of 27 yards. After two shaky victories, the Giants finally got tripped up, and it got even worse for them with Sterling Shepard suffering a knee injury in Week 3 that could sideline him for at least one game. In any case, the Giants still have a rejuvenated Saquon Barkley, who had 81 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries against Dallas. New York might have to give him more touches going forward given the injury to Shepard and the ineffectiveness of Kenny Golladay. As bad as the Giants’ offense looked in Week 3, it still runs smoother than Chicago’s attack.

The Giants are 12-3-1 against the spread in their last 16 Week 4 games.

Bet on the NY Giants

Writer’s Prediction
