Betting on the Clemson Tigers (ODDS)
Record: 18-4 Overall/10-1 Conference
Clemson notched its 10th win in league play on Saturday, as the Tigers took down the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee in a thriller, 82-81. Senior forward Hunter Tyson was not going to let Clemson suffer an upset loss, as he banged in 27 points with six 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Chase Hunter chipped in 26 points. Those two can find even more success on offense on Tuesday versus Boston College which has a defense that is operating like a broken turnstile this season. The Eagles are 117th in the nation with 101.6 points allowed per 100 possessions adjusted and rank 12th in the ACC with an adjusted defensive rating of 110.3 1.
Clemson is 6-3-1 against the spread in its last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Boston College Eagles (ODDS)
Record: 10-12 Overall/4-7 Conference
Boston College got obliterated by the Virginia Cavaliers in a 76-57 road loss last Saturday. With that loss, the Eagles failed in their latest attempt to win three games in a row for the first time this season. Before that loss, Boston College beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in South Bend and the Louisville Cardinals at home. Seven-foot center Quinten Post can be a problem for Clemson. Post leads the Eagles this season in scoring and had just dropped 24 points on 8/15 shooting against a very good Virginia defense. He can also stretch the floor, as he’s 10/24 from deep this season. Playing in front of their home fans should give Boston College a much-needed boost on Tuesday against the high-powered Clemson side. Boston College is 4-1 against the spread in its last five home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Clemson wins, 74-63.
