Betting on the Clemson Tigers (9-0 Overall / 6-0 Conference)
The Tigers are still unbeaten this season. That’s after they took the Louisville Cardinals to the woodshed on Saturday in a lopsided 77-16 win at home. Tigers quarterback Chase Brice passed for 110 yards and three touchdowns while Trevor Lawrence added 59 passing yards and two touchdowns. The Tigers were not threatened at all by the Cardinals, especially the backfield. Running backs Travis Etienne and Lyn-J Dixon rushed for 153 and 116 rushing yards, respectively. Make that three Clemson players with at least 100 rushing yards in the game, as Tavien Feaster had 101 rushing yards. Overall, the Tigers had 492 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The Tigers should deal damage on the Eagles defense that entered Week 10 with 151.1 rushing yards allowed per game. The Tigers were just as fierce on defense against Louisville, as they had six sacks and two interceptions.
Clemson, which is allowing just 13.9 points per game this season, is 3-0 ATS in its last three road games.
Betting on the Boston College Eagles (7-2 Overall / 4-1 Conference)
Like Clemson, the Eagles are on a roll, as they extended their win streak to three games after taking down the Virginia Tech Hokies on the road on Saturday, 31-21. Boston College did a good job of containing the Hokies’ attack. Although, the Hokies scored three touchdowns through the air, they went just 5-of-16 on third down chances. That’s a testament to the Boston College’s defense that ranks 55th in scoring defense with 26.0 points allowed per game. The team is also also third in the entire nation with its opponents just converting 4.7 percent of their chances on third down opportunities. The Eagles are also good in preventing opponents from scoring in the red zone (75.86 percent). Also expect Boston College to match Clemson’s aggression on the ground. After all, the Eagles are 31st in the FBS with an average of 206.7 rushing yards per game. Eagles running back Austin Dillon had 96 rushing yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in the Virginia Tech game.
Boston College is 4-1 ATS in its last five games at home.
Writer’s Prediction
