The Detroit Lions are coming off of a 30-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers, giving them their first cover since Week 4 of the 2017 season, along with a much-needed win to maintain their spot in the playoff conversation. The only conversation about the Cleveland Browns is whether or not to sell the franchise, as they leave town to face all but certain defeat in the Lions’ lair.

Betting on the Cleveland Browns (0-8)
The Cleveland Browns are still without a win as they head off their bye week to take on the Detroit Lions. They needed a bye week to fix up their mess of the offense. Cleveland has been going back and forth on the quarterback position as they are open on the trade deadline in hoping of getting another quarterback.
From this move, it will only get more awkward in the locker room as the front office has no trust in this offense especially the quarterback position. Will Cleveland be able to come back from the first part of the season?
In their recent game, the Browns were taken down by the Minnesota Vikings as the passing game including short passes to the running backs and that is pretty much it. Cleveland has tons of talent on their roster, hopefully the town will be able to see a better second half.
Betting on the Detroit Lions (4-4)
The Detroit Lions are going to need an impressive start in the second half to keep their pace in the playoff push and they did so on Monday night against the Green Bay Packers. Without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, quarterback Matthew Stafford was able to showcase his talent in the spotlight. It was all Detroit as the offense was clicking from the start.
Wide receivers Golden Tate and Marvin Jones torched the secondary as they totaled 220 receiving yards on 14 receptions.
Stafford would finish the day with 361 passing yards, two touchdowns on 26 pass completions. With a weak Green Bay secondary, there was no need to run the ball as Detroit went in the air.
Writer’s Prediction:
The Cleveland Browns might come out and play some good ball for the first two quarters, I don’t know about the other ones. The Detroit Lions are making smart moves to secure wins every week. Pick: Detroit (-11.5)
