Betting on the Denver Broncos (odds)
Regular Season Record: 1-0
The Broncos ran over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 of the preseason, as they scored a decisive 33-6 win on the road. Denver was not shy in letting Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater loose on the field. The two continued their quarterback battle in that game, each one giving a good account of himself. Lock went 5 of 7 for 151 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Bridgewater had 74 passing yards and a touchdown on 7-of-8 completions. Credit should also go to KJ Hamler who led the team with 105 receiving yards and a touchdown on just two catches. The Broncos are looking good with their quarterbacks heading into a matchup against a Seattle team that just got embarrassed by Nathan Peterman.
The Broncos are 5-3 against the spread in their last eight games n the preseason.
Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (odds)
Regular Season Record: 0-1
Unlike the Broncos, there’s no question over at the camp of the Seahawks about who their starting quarterback is. That’s Russell Wilson. This is also why it was not a surprise that Wilson did not suit up in last week’s 20-7 road loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Instead, the trio of Alex McGough, Geno Smith, and Sean Mannion took turns in leading the offense from under center. McGough came out the most impressive, as he went 6 of 10 for 54 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed three times for 25 yards. Although they were all outplayed by Peterman, Seattle’s defense still had some success in the game. The Seahawks had four sacks in that game and an interception. Linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven had a total of 12 tackles while Linebacker Cody Barton had two sacks. Those two could wreak havoc again this week at home against the Broncos.
The under is 3-0 in the Seahawks’ last three preseason games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Broncos win, 26-20.
