Betting on the Florida State Seminoles
The Florida State Seminoles stretched their unbeaten run to two games with a 34-14 victory over the South Florida Bulls on Saturday night. Running back Dalvin Cook was the star of the show for the Seminoles, rushing for 266 yards on 30 carries with three touchdowns. It is the second-best rushing game in Florida State history and the first 200-yard game by a Seminoles back since Sammie Smith had 212 yards against Tulane in 1988.
[sc:NCAA240banner ]Cook has been lights out for the Seminoles this season, rushing for 422 yards and scoring five touchdowns in his opening two games. He is also averaging 8.6 yards per carry this campaign. His 266-yard performance against South Florida was his first career 200-yard game and his fifth consecutive 100-yard effort. Cook will have his work cut out for him, however, against a Boston College defense that has yet to allow a rushing touchdown this season.
That being said, the Seminoles will fancy their chances against the Eagles as they have fared extremely well against them of late. They are 5-0 against Boston College in their last five games. The Seminoles edged past the Eagles, 20-17, in their only meeting last year.
The Seminoles are 9-1 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 road games.

Betting on the Boston College Eagles
Boston College extended its winning streak to two games with a resounding 76-0 victory over Howard Bison on Friday. It’s the Eagles’ most lopsided win since a 76-0 victory over Holy Cross back in 1949. The Eagles’ record for points and largest margin of victory was a 78-0 rout of St. Anselm in 1941. With the victory, the Eagles improved to 24-1 all-time against Football Championship Subdivision schools.
Such was the Eagles’ dominance in this game that they collected a whopping 483 total yards against Howard Bison. Leading the way for the Eagles’ offense was Tyler Rouse who ran for three touchdowns. What proved to be the difference in this game, however, was the Eagles’ exemplary defense. They limited the Bison to just 11 total yards in this outing. In fact, Howard was in negative-yardage until the closing minutes of the match. The Eagles have allowed a total of just three points in their first two games this season.
For the Eagles to preserve their unbeaten record this coming Saturday against the Seminoles, they need to put the clamps on Florida State running back Dalvin Cook. They will fancy their chances of doing just that as they have the best rushing defense in the NCAA this season. They have surrendered a total of just 14 rushing yards in their opening two games this campaign.
The Eagles are 5-5 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 home games.
