A new ACC Tournament champion will be crowned on Saturday. The Florida State Seminoles (+7,000 to win the national title) assured everyone of that with a win on Friday, and they will meet the Duke Blue Devils (+260) in what should be an electrifying matchup in Charlotte. Duke last won the ACC tourney in 2017, while Florida State is gunning for its first league tournament title since 2012.

Betting on the Florida State Seminoles (27-6 Overall / 13-5 Conference)
The Seminoles have done it. They have ousted the Virginia Cavaliers form the ACC Tournament, meaning there is going to be a new champion this year in the said tourney. Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton should be very ecstatic at how his boys played in the 69-59 win over the Hoos, as not many teams can have as good of an offensive performance the ‘Noles had versus Virginia. Florida State shot 56.5 percent against Virginia’s defense that allowed just 43.4 field goal percentage to opponents in the regular season. The Seminoles got equal offensive production from several players, with four scoring at least 10 points, while also coming away with a huge advantage on the glass, outrebounding Virginia, 35-20. Christ Koumadje, the Seminoles’ 7-foot-4 behemoth will have his hands full in trying to help Florida State fend off Duke’s rebounders. In FSU’s close 80-78 loss to the Blue Devils in Tallahassee last January, the Seminoles outrebounded Duke, 39-35. Mfiondu Kabengele led FSU with 24 points and 10 boards in the loss to Duke.
Florida State is 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last four games.
Betting on the Duke Blue Devils (28-5 Overall / 14-4 Conference)
The Blue Devils finally got a win this season against their bitter nemesis North Carolina Tar Heels, as they booted out Roy Williams’ team out of ACC title contention in a thrilling 74-73 win Friday night. Monster freshman Zion Williamson continued his unstoppable ways since returning from a five-game absence due to an injury, dropping 31 points on 13-for-19 shooting from the field and grabbing 11 rebounds against North Carolina. That performance came after he went 13-for-13 from the field for 29 points in Thursday’s win over the Syracuse Orange. It’s not wise to bet against Williamson having another fantastic game this Saturday, but he could also be tired right now. If fatigue becomes a factor for Williamson, Duke still has plenty of weapons to rely on such as RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish. Barrett and Reddish had 32 and 23 points in the win over Florida State with the latter drilling the game-winning shot. Meeting Florida State could lighten up Reddish’s spirit following a measly six-point output in the win over North Carolina.
Duke is 13-13 ATS after a win in the ACC this season, and 17-15 ATS in the conference, overall.
Writer’s Prediction
Duke wins, 78-71.
