The Golden State Warriors need just one more victory to match the ’95-’96 Bulls for the most wins in a regular season. Standing in their way of achieving that accomplishment are the league’s second-best team, the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs have been unstoppable at home, holding a 39-0 record at AT&T Center. They also own an impressive 33-game home win streak against the Warriors. Legendary forward Tim Duncan hadn’t even entered the NBA the last time the Warriors celebrated a victory at San Antonio in the regular season.

Randy Chambers | Spurs SU and ATS |
Randy Chambers of Sports Chat Place believes that the Warriors are looking very depleted this late into the season due to their high level of play day in and day out. The Warriors are running on fumes, and struggled to beat even the Memphis Grizzlies, 100-99, last night.
Chambers notes that the San Antonio Spurs have been an excellent basketball team, one that can prevent Golden State from breaking the 72-game record established by the ’95-’96 Bulls. The Spurs have won 12 of their last 16 games. They also haven’t lost a game at home all-season long.Count Chambers as one of San Antonio’s backers. He not only predicts the Spurs to win, but also to cover up to five points.

Picks and Parlays | Warriors ATS |
Jim of Picks and Parlays notes that the Golden State Warriors not only want to establish their status as the league’s best team this season; they also want to be known as the best team period. The Warriors showed their true mettle when they easily beat the Spurs, 112-101, on Thursday. Stephen Curry led the defending champions in that contest, scoring 27 points and dishing out nine assists.
The Spurs have an answer, though, with Kawhi Leonard, who is averaging 21.1 points on 51 percent shooting this season. Jim believes, however, that even Leonard won’t be enough to lead his team to victory. He notes that the Spurs may rest some of their starters for this game, which should give the Warriors plenty of chances to win this contest.
The Warriors being five-point underdogs has plenty of value for the folks over at Picks and Parlays.

Stephen Curry had an off night against Memphis on Saturday, shooting just 3 of 14 from three-point range. He finished with just 17 points against the Grizzlies, his lowest scoring output in 11 games. It won’t get any easier for Curry later tonight as he will once again face the vaunted San Antonio defense. He was just 4 of 18 from the field and 1 of 12 from beyond the arc in his last outing at San Antonio. The Spurs won that contest, 87-79.
Spurs head coach Greg Popovich notes that he won’t be resting any players aside from Boris Diaw for this game. But he also notes that pursuing an unbeaten record at home this regular season is also pretty meaningless. Diaw may be an important cog for the Spurs. He had 14 points and eight rebounds in a season-high 35 minutes against the Warriors in the last matchup at AT&T Center.
LaMarcus Aldridge also isn’t looking too hot right now. He dislocated the pinky finger of his shooting hand in Thursday’s loss at Golden State.
Covers believe that the Spurs have the ability to win this game, but aren’t giving them plenty of room for error as 101-99 winners.
