Betting on the Green Bay Packers (-7)

The Pack are back. Green Bay routed the Seahawks on Sunday at Lambeau Field with a 38-10 win to kepe its playoff hopes alive.

A hurting Aaron Rodgers threw a trio of touchdown passes, with two falling in the reliable hands of Jordy Nelson, who caught six of his seven targets for 41 yards. The defense also managed to force Russell Wilson into five interceptions, and Green Bay took advantage by turning those errors into a pair of touchdown drives.

The Packers, who are only two games behind the top spot in NFC North, will now look to build on their confidence-boosting win over Seattle with another victory, this time against the Bears—a team they’ve already beaten earlier this season at Lambeau Field.

Rodgers was locked-on during that first meeting with Chicago, passing for three touchdowns, including two to Davante Adams. He and the rest of the Packers should keep it going against a reeling Bears team that’s lost four of its last five games overall.

Betting on the Chicago Bears (+7)

Chicago’s on a downward spiral of late, but its defensive efforts have been worthy of recognition. The Bears, despite ending up with the loss, got three sacks and two late-game interceptions in Sunday’s match with Detroit, which escaped with the 20-17 win.

The Bears D is what’s keeping the team respectable and in rare positions to win games since losing both Jay Cutler and Brian Hoyer to respective injuries. However, the offense has barely clicked in the hands of third-string quarterback Matt Barkley, who passed for 212 yards with one touchdown against the Lions.

Barkley’s inexperience is a glaring concern for Chicago. That said, expect the Bears to keep running with the ball more on offense, mainly through RB Jordan Howard, who boasts a team-high 883 yards rushing with five scores this season, including five 100-yard games.

Chicago is 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in its last five home games.

Writer’s Prediction
