Betting on the Green Bay Packers (4-1)
The Green Bay Packers continue to showcase their offense talent as they secured a huge win on the road last week against the Dallas Cowboys. Once again, quarterback Aaron Rodgers reminded the whole league how he only needs at least one minute to drive all the way down the field to score. This quarterback is something special as he finished the game with 221 passing yards and three touchdowns.
An elite quarterback leads the team without causing turnovers and Rodgers did just that as wide receiver Davante Adams caught a 12-yard pass with 11 seconds left to win the game. One of the reasons why Rodgers had success against the Dallas secondary was due to running back Aaron Jones having a statement game.
The Packers are now a duo threat on offense as Jones made his first appearance and did not shy away from the lights. He finished the game with 125 rushing yards along with a touchdown on 19 carries. Imagine what this high flying offense can do against the Minnesota Vikings.
Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (3-2)
People look at this Minnesota Vikings team that are going through multiple quarterbacks due to the injury of Sam Bradford and ask is this offense good enough to compete with the elite teams in the NFL? The Vikings showed in their 20-17 win over the Chicago Bears that they have an offense that can compete and come back from scenario. Quarterback Sam Bradford returned from his injury but struggled and eventually left with hurting his left knee again.
However when one man goes down, this Vikings team continues and did so with the relief of backup quarterback Case Keenum. He finished the day with 140 passing yards and a touchdown and proved he can lead this Vikings team against everyone.
Leading the charge for this Vikings team is running back Jerick McKinnon who is filling in for the injured Dalvin Cook. McKinnon the utility specialist ran for 95 yards on 16 carries with finding the endzone once. With the offense working, the defense follows in their footsteps. It might be time to follow this impressive Skol team.
Writer’s Prediction
The Minnesota Vikings may be rallying behind their injuries, but nobody especially the Vikings will stop quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Pick: Packers (-3)
