Betting on the Kentucky Wildcats (odds)

Record: 22-5 Overall/11-3 Conference

Kentucky restored order in Lexington with a 90-81 win at home over the Alabama Crimson Tide last Saturday. That gives the Wildcats their 11th win in SEC play and also momentum for an upcoming matchup against the LSU Tigers on Wednesday. Kentucky’s offense has been clicking nicely this season. The Wildcats are tops in the conference with 111.3 points per 100 possessions, according to KenPom. They are also No. 1 in terms of effective field goal percentage, turnover rate, and 3-point shooting percentage. Oscar Tshiebwe is doing a lot of heavy lifting for the Wildcats, who have been dealing with injuries to key players, and so far the double-double machine has been coming through for the team. On the season, Tshiebwe is averaging 16.4 points on 59.3 percent shooting from the field and 15.2 rebounds per contest.

Kentucky is 3-1 straight up in its last four games away from home.

Betting on the Arkansas Razorbacks (odds)

Record: 21-6 Overall/10-4 Conference

Arkansas is heating up again. After losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide by just a point, the Razorbacks have managed to collect two wins in a row against the Missouri Tigers (76-57) on the road and the Tennessee Volunteers (58-48) at home. The Razorbacks are doing an amazing job defensively, and it’ll be their biggest weapon against the high-powered Wildcats. Tennessee couldn’t get anything flowing on offense versus the Tigers, as the Vols were held to only 27.1 percent shooting by Arkansas while also committing 15 turnovers. The Razorbacks are just 105th in the nation with 67.1 points allowed per game, but are 22nd overall in adjusted defensive efficiency with only 92.6 points allowed per 100 possessions. JD Notae leads Arkansas with 18.5 points per game.

Arkansas, which takes on the Florida Gators at home this Tuesday, is 2-1 against the spread in its last three games versus Kentucky.

Writer’s Prediction

Kentucky wins, 74-70.
