Betting on the Los Angeles Dodgers (-140)

Julio Urias remains in search of his first career win in the majors and he’ll continue looking for it later tonight, as he faces the Brewers. Urias is 0-2 with a 5.13 ERA in six starts and has steadily shown improvement following a couple of bad starts to begin his MLB career.

Over his last four starts, Urias has accumulated a 0-1 record with a 2.33 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 19.1 innings. Included in that stretch was a notable outing against Milwaukee on June 17, when he held the Brewers for five innings while fanning eight batters in a 3-2 victory.

The bullpen hasn’t really been supportive of Urias, but that’s just more misfortune in Urias’ past and less of a general outlook for the Dodgers’ backend pitching, which owns a solid 2.35 ERA this month.

At the plate, the Dodgers can expect great things from Adrian Gonzalez, who is 6-for-13 (.462) with a homer in his career against Milwaukee starter Chase Anderson.

The Dodgers are 4-1 in their last five games against Milwaukee.

Betting on the Milwaukee Brewers (+130)

The Brewers saw their three-game win streak end on Sunday when they suffered a 3-2 home loss to Washington. They’ll look to bounce right back as they host LA beginning tonight.

On the mound for the Brewers is Chase Anderson (4-7, 5.13 ERA), who was last seen on the mound getting waterboarded by the Dodgers in a 10-6 road loss on June 18. In that game, Anderson lasted just 2.1 innings after getting tagged with seven earned runs on six hits by LA. He should fare better this time around with the Brewers holding court. Anderson is 3-2 with a 3.74 ERA in six starts at Miller Park.

Milwaukee’s offense will be led by Ryan Braun and Aaron Hill who are both having quite a time at the plate of late. Braun is 7-for-16 (.438) over his last four games. Hill, meanwhile, is 8-for-29 with a two doubles in his last five games.

The Brewers are 4-1 in their last five home games.
