The Miami Dolphins had lowkey success in Week 1, as they took down the Tennessee Titans at home. Next week, however, they’ll be stepping out of Florida as they head north to face the New York Jets, who looked scary in their annihilation of the Detroit Lions. One of these two AFC East teams is about to go up 2-0. Where’s your money at?

Betting on the Miami Dolphins (1-0)
The question is Kenny Still do it again? I mean, can Kenny Still duplicate what he did last week in the Dolphins’ 27-20 home win over the Tennessee Titans? In that game, Still collected 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four receptions, which clearly showed he’s now the man to watch downfield in Miami with Jarvis Landry now a Cleveland Brown. Ryan Tannehill, meanwhile, went 20-of-28 for 230 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his first game since 2016. He missed the entire 2017 season with a knee injury, so he could be forgiven a bit for a shaky performance. All that rust will have to cleaned before Miami faces the dangerous defense of the Jets, which showed no mercy to the Detroit Lions on Monday. If anything, Tannehill’s protection was solid in doing its job with the quarterback only getting sacked once.
The Dolphins are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 road games against the Jets.
Betting on the New York Jets (1-0)
Sam Darnold didn’t look like the real thing in his very first NFL regular season pass as it ended in a pick-six, but showing the poise of a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, this year’s No. 3 overall pick settled in and found his groove to lead the Jets into a dominant 48-17 win over the Lions on Monday. Darnold went 16-of-21 with a pair of touchdown lasers and got help from running back Isaiah Crowell, who blew up for 102 yards and two scores on 10 carries. But the real MVP of the night for the Jets was their defense that obliterated nearly everything Detroit was planning to do on offense. The Jets recorded five interceptions and also scored three touchdowns. If that is the kind of defense that will show up in East Rutherford next week, Tannehill is in for a very long day.
The Jets are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games dating back to 2016.
Writer’s Prediction
New York wins, 24-21.
