Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (odds)

Regular Season Record: 0-2

The Vikings only have one more shot left at winning a game this preseason after losing to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1 on the road (26-20) and to the San Francisco 49ers (17-7) at home in Week 2. Kellen Mond struggled in the pocket against the Niners, as he went just 10/20 for 82 passing yards while also throwing two interceptions. Ty Chandler scored the only touchdown for the Vikings in that game, having reached the end zone on five carries. There’s got to be more fire for the Vikings’ offense in Week 3, and they might just find it early against the Broncos, whose defense gave up over 500 total yards in Week 2.

The Vikings are 5-5 against the spread in their last 10 preseason games.

Betting on the Denver Broncos (odds)

Regular Season Record: 1-1

The Broncos got absolutely destroyed in Week 2 by the Buffalo Bills in a 42-15 road loss. That defeat came after a 17-7 home win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Despite the loss, Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien had a pretty solid game, passing for 191 yards and a touchdown on 22/26 completions. The Broncos also did not turn the ball over. The problem was their defense that had a major malfunction, but they should be able to have a tighter stop unit against Minnesota, which sputtered offensively in Week 2.

The Broncos are 5-5 against the spread in their last 10 preseason games as well.

Bet on the Denver Broncos

Writer’s Prediction

The Broncos win, 17-13.
