The Week 4 match between the New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants has the potential to be barnburner, considering each team’s blend of sluggish defense and electric offense. Will the Saints prevail as a road favorite? Or will the Giants get to .500 for the first time this season?
The Saints are +1,300 to win Super Bowl 53. As for the Giants, they are a longshot to do it with a price of +6,500.

Betting on the New Orleans Saints (2-1)
Drew Brees did everything under his control to lead the Saints last week into a high-scoring 43-37 road win over the Atlanta Falcons. Brees threw for 396 passing yards and three touchdowns without an interception on 38 of 49 completions and added a pair of rushing touchdowns on three carries. Brees, however, didn’t have to do that much if only the Saints’ defense weren’t bumbling all game long, letting Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan compile 374 passing yards and five touchdowns without a pick. The Saints’ defense needs to be a bit more imposing than that against the Giants, who’ll be parading a healthy Odell Beckham Jr. and pass-catching running back Saquon Barkley downfield. Perhaps the Saints can take advantage of the Giants’ non-existent pass protection, as evidenced by the fact that New York has allowed the fifth-most sacks (12) in the league so far this season.
The over is 5-1 in the Saints’ last six games.
Betting on the New York Giants (1-2)
The Giants were not able to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start to the season, but at least they managed a bullet in the form of a 0-3 record by beating the Houston Texans on the road last week, 27-22. Eli Manning, despite getting sacked four times for a loss of 32 yards, went 25 of 29 for 297 passing yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions. Beckham and Sterling Shepard were on top of their games as Manning’s targets, as the two combined for 189 receiving yards in 15 catches out of 17 targets. Barkley, meanwhile, had 82 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Barkley may find it harder to burst through the Saints’ sixth-ranked defense against the run, but Beckham and Shepard can loosen up New Orleans’ defensive line, especially if they can establish their presence early. Manning, however, likely won’t have rising tight end Evan Engram, who reportedly could be out up to four weeks with an MCL sprain.
The Giants are 3-2 ATS in their last five games as the home underdog.
Writer’s Prediction
New Orleans wins, 31-27.
