The Saints snapped a two-game losing skid by beating the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday, 27-20. Andy Dalton finished that game with 260 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 21/25 completions. Chris Olave led all receivers with 102 yards and a touchdown on five receptions and six targets. The receiving corps has become healthier of late for the Saints. They still don’t have Michael Thomas ready, but Jarvis Landry returned in Week 11 and had 33 receiving yards and a touchdown on three catches and four targets. Running back Alvin Kamara had 89 yards from scrimmage in that game, and he’ll have a tasty duel against Niners do-it-all tailback Christian McCaffrey. That’s an extra motivation for Kamara, who can just be as productive as anyone in the league, catching or rushing.
The Over is 4-0 in the Saints’ last four games against NFC teams.
Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (-9.5)
Regular Season Record: 6-4
The 49ers are looking more and more dangerous each week. They are on a three-game undefeated streak after destroying the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City last Monday, 38-10. If Jimmy Garoppolo plays the same way he did in that game in Week 12, the Saints are going to be in huge trouble. Life has gotten easier of late for Garoppolo, thanks to his assortment of elite weapons that now includes McCaffrey, who rushed for 39 yards and had 67 receiving yards on seven catches in their win over the Cardinals. George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk, who had two receiving touchdowns in the Cardinals game are part of the Niners’ attack that might not show any mercy at the Saints’ defense which is just 25th in the league with 24.3 points allowed per game.
The 49ers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in November.
Writer’s Prediction
The 49ers win, 28-16.
