Prediction: Atlanta Falcons
Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback
Height: 3’2
Weight: 56 lbs
Birthplace: Los Cabos, Mexico
Record: 3-1 (Just began picking the Philadelphia 76ers)
Like her trek to the United States, Elsa’s journey to the Atlanta Falcons bowl took a few twists and turns. She ran past the border guards one night and into the great state of California. Tijuana made her tough as nails and she soon began hanging around Qualcomm Stadium. Legend has it, an innocent bystander once saw her sleeping on a curb outside of a Chargers game when Dean Spanos tried to step over her to get to his car. She instantly bounced up and began growling at the billionaire. He was so scared that he packed the entire team up and left for Los Angeles. Little does he know that Elsa was last seen passing through Carson. Let’s hope that don’t meet again.
When it comes to making sports picks, Elsa has been going heavy on the Philadelphia 76ers lately. She’s been very successful but did drop a decision last weekend. While she’s been upset with the Atlanta Hawks ever since, she holds little resentment against the city because in front of the world on January 26th, she chose the Falcons to take out New England in Super Bowl 51.
Pets from Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation
So, if one dog wasn’t enough for you, then how ‘bout these predictions from a bunch of pets from Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek. The more the merrier (and more accurate), right?
Three mixed-breed dogs and five cute-as-hell kittens were given exactly the same test that Elsa—the canine above—took. The results were somewhat unanimous, especially for the pups that all decided to ride the Tom Brady wagon.
The kittens, meanwhile, seemed indecisive or had different things in mind. They ignored the whole test, choosing to play around and mess with the goal post. Well, they’re only seven weeks old. What’d you expect?
Puppy Bowl Puppies
These puppies, which are all participating in Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XIII this coming weekend, are probably more trustworthy. They have the experience and have been keenly prepping them for this sole purpose—predicting the winner of Super Bowl 51.
Here’s the final verdict:
Among the selected ten pooches, seven went for Hotlanta while the other three, including one named “Lucky”, are all in for the Patriots. You might end up the biggest winner on Sunday with luck on your side, just saying.
Moody Garden’s Poison Dart Frogs
Yes, you read that right. Frogs, too, love football as much as we humans and the animals above do. To be more precise, these are poison dart frogs.
Anyway, the test was a little different here, yet still simple. Each frog was placed in a miniaturized football field along with two footballs filled with flies on each end zone to lure the frogs. The result was a tight win for Atlanta, 5-3.
Let’s hope the real game is just as close.
Buffet and Hugh
From dogs, cats and frogs, we go to two of Florida’s infamous manatees named Buffett and Hugh. The result was a draw, however, with the former siding with the Falcons while the other with the Pats.
The aquarium officials mentioned that Buffet was quicker and more confident in making his decision, though. Buffet does carry an impressive 10-year record, so that accumulated experience logically makes Buffet the more reliable one.
Tumani and Ayana
Let’s cut to the chase. The decision was a split once more, this time between two Rhinos of Blank Park Zoo, which have correctly predicted the victor of the Super Bowl in four of the last seven years.
The picking process involved two tires filled with food, including the team logo for each team. The Rhinos just had to choose from either the two.
Most are aware, if not ignorant about Rhinos being endangered species, but maybe only a handful know that their also quite intelligent. And considering that, Ayana’s choice—the Falcons—could leave you smiling. She should be wiser the choice compared to her three-month-old son Tumani.
