The Oregon Ducks are not going to get an at-large bid, but they appear to be dangerous team to face for any team in the Pac-12 once the conference tournament kicks off. The Washington Huskies, meanwhile, could be in danger of missing an at-large bid, especially after losing to the California Golden Bears late in the regular season. Going into the game, Oregon is a long shot to win the 2019 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament, with +50,000 odds according to the sportsbook. Washington on the other hand, is also an unlikely season ending victor, but is priced much better at +8,000.

Betting on the Oregon Ducks (17-12 Overall / 8-8 Conference)
Oregon probably wished that all the teams it had faced thus far were all from Arizona. The Ducks are 3-1 SU this season against the Arizona Sun Devils and the Arizona Wildcats, both of whom Oregon beat last week. In their final home game of the regular season, the Ducks pounded the Wildcats in Eugene 73-47. They have the Washington State Cougars on the road this Wednesday before a rematch with the Huskies in the weekend. Oregon’s defense has been a key for Oregon for most of the season. It is 24th in the nation with just 64.4 points allowed per game. They have excellent rim protection and on-ball defense, as evidence by the facts that Oregon is third in the conference in defensive blocks percentage and second in defensive steals percentage. Oregon lost to Washington at home on Jan. 24, 61-56.
Oregon is 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last four games against the Huskies.
Betting on the Washington Huskies (23-6 Overall / 14-2 Conference)
After an embarrassing loss at the hands of the California Golden Bears, 76-73, on the road, the Huskies got it together and squeaked past the Stanford Cardinals in enemy territory last Sunday, 62-61. Up next for Washington is a home game against the Oregon State Beavers this Wednesday before hosting the Ducks for a rematch. The tandem of Jaylen Nowell and David Crisp towed the Huskies in the win over Oregon earlier this year. In that game, Nowell had 20 points, while Crisp added 18 markers. It barely looked like Oregon’s defense had any effect on the Huskies, as they shot 55.0 percent from the field and went 8-for-20 from long range (40.0 percent). Speaking of outside shooting, the Huskies are second in the league with a 38.5 percent clip from distance. Conversely, they are the best in the Pac-12 in defending against the deep ball, with opposing teams sinking just 32.1 percent of their shots from behind the arc.
Washington is 6-4 straight up (SU) in its last 10 home games against the Ducks.
Writer’s Prediction
Washington wins, 65-59.
