The Spurs will be returning from a 98-87 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers at home, but it shouldn’t be that big of a deal since they are already locked for the second seed out West. Their first-round playoff matchup with number seven Memphis Grizzlies is now set.

As opposed to coach Gregg Poppovich’s well-known style of efficiently using players, though, he won’t be resting anyone for the team’s final two games before the postseason.

Pop and his men are 2-1 in the season series with the Blazers. Their average winning margin is 18, and they put up 108.7 points and 11.7 threes per game in those meetings, while also making over 50 percent of their attempts from long distance.

Kawhi Leonard, as usual, is leading the way. He scores 33.5 points and shoots impressive 58 percent from the field in the pair of encounters with Portland.

San Antonio is 8-2 SU in its last 10 road games (6-4 ATS).

Betting on the Portland Trail Blazers (40-40)

Saturday’s 101-86 win over the Utah Jazz was the Blazers’ most memorable game of the season yet. The victory made them clinch the final playoff spot in the West and it featured their All-Star point guard Damian Lillard going off for a career and franchise-best 59 points, while also tying his personal record for threes in a game, with nine.

The last five weeks have been a fun ride for Rip City, which was far from the rather underachieving performances they were showcasing prior. Portland is 16-5 SU and ATS since the start of March, with Lillard averaging 29.4 points and six assists in that span.

Despite being down in the year’s head-to-head matchup against the Spurs and averaging 10 less points in the series compared to their season averages (98 PPG to 108.2 PPG), one of the wins in their aforementioned resurgence was against the same Spurs. In the 110-106 victory last March 15th, Lillard powered through for 36 points and backcourt partner CJ McCollum added 26.
