Could this be Russell Wilson’s final game in a Seahawks uniform? We can’t know for sure, but he definitely would love to put on a show against the Cardinals. Wilson is coming off an awesome performance in Week 17’s 51-29 home win against the Detroit Lions in which he passed for 236 yards and four touchdowns without an interception on 20/29 completions. Wilson was ineffective in Week 11’s 23-13 home loss to the Cardinals (14/26 for 2017 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs), but he played sweet music with Tyler Lockett in that game. Lockett had 115 receiving yards against the Cards on just four receptions and five targets. Running back Rashaad Penny will also look to build on his huge performance in the Detroit game during which he collected 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.
The Seahawks are 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 games as a road underdog.
Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (-6.5)
Regular Season Record: 11-5
The Cardinals arrested a three-game skid by taking down the Dallas Cowboys on the road in Week 16, 25-22. Kyler Murray had a fantastic showing against the Cowboys’ stout defense, as he concluded the game with 263 passing yards, two touchdowns, on 26/38 completions. Murray was not around when Arizona met the Seahawks the first time around this season due to an injury, but Colt McCoy got the job done in that game with 328 passing yards and two touchdowns without an interception on 35/44 completions. With Murray now under center, the ceiling of the Cards’ offense is definitely higher. Defensively, Chandler Jones will look to have big success again in getting into the Seahawks’ pocket. He had two of Arizona’s four sacks in Week 11’s win against Seattle.
The Cardinals are 5-2 against the spread versus teams with a losing record this season.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cardinals win, 27-23.
