NFL

Denver Broncos vs Indianapolis Colts (8:30 PM ET)

All eyes will once again be on Peyton Manning as he makes returns to his former home Indianapolis for the first time since his departure in 2011.

The 6-0 Broncos are one of just two undefeated teams remaining in the NFL, although Manning and the offense are coming off their “worst” performance of the season against Jacksonville.

Odds: Broncos (-7) vs Colts (+7); O/U: 57.0

The Broncos posted their lowest point output of the season (35) and Manning threw for less than 300 yards (295) for the first time all year. Manning might do so again as he goes up against the Colts’ 5th ranked pass defense. But the Broncos defense will get a major boost with the return of Von Miller. Denver is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games on the road.

Compared to Manning and the Broncos, Andrew Luck and the Colts had a substantially worse week last week. The Colts lost to the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football, and Luck had his worst game of the season (18/30, 202 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT).

Luck could find more success throwing the ball this week, as he faces the Broncos’ worst pass defense in the NFL. The Colts quarterback must match his opposite number if his team stands any chance of winning. Indianapolis is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games vs Denver.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles (1:00 PM ET)

The worst division in the NFL will finally have a team with a winning record as the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles fight for top spot in the NFC East.

The Cowboys comfortably dispatched fellow division foes the Redskins last week, but they could be missing key personnel for this game. Running back DeMarco Murray is doubtful with a knee injury and star pass rusher DeMarcus Ware is in danger of missing the first game of his career with a thigh injury.

Odds: Cowboys (+2.5) vs Eagles (-2.5); O/U: 55.0

If both do miss the game, a heavy burden will once again be placed on the shoulders of Tony Romo to carry the team to victory. Dallas is 5-1 ATS this season.

[sc:NFL240banner ]The Eagles will once again be without starting quarterback Michael Vick, but backup Nick Foles has played well in his stead. The second-year quarterback was named last week’s NFC offensive player of the week after throwing for 296 yards and three touchdowns while running for another against the Buccaneers.

A similar performance could see Foles light up an already suspect Cowboys secondary (308 yards allowed, 30th in NFL). The total has gone OVER in 8 of Philadelphia’s last 12 home games vs Dallas.
