The Baylor Bears (+1000 to win the national title) have everyone’s attention now. They are, after all, the No.1 team in the nation. The TCU Horned Frogs (+1000) are unranked and have been struggling for form of late, but they just recently victimize a top-25 opponent, so the Bears can’t take them too lightly in Waco this coming weekend.

Betting on the TCU Horned Frogs (13-6 Overall / 4-2 Conference)
Just when it looked like the Horned Frogs have straightened it out with a 65-54 upset of a win at home over No. 18 Texas Tech Red Raiders in Fort Worth, the team floundered anew, as TCU lost the following game to the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville last Saturday, 78-67. The Horned Frogs will face the Texas Longhorns at home this Wednesday, and one thing TCU wants to see in that tussle is their shooting touch from deep coming back. The Horned Frogs shot juts 6 for 19 on their 3-pointers in their loss to Arkansas for a 31.4 percent clip. On the season, the Horned Frogs are one of the better outside shooting teams. In fact, the Horned Frogs are the leaders in the Big 12 with 176 triples as of this writing and 28th nationally with 9.2 threes made per contest. TCU’s defense is not one to be slept on, either.
The Horned Frogs, who are allowing just 63.2 points per game, have seen the total hit the over in each of their last three road games.
Betting on the Baylor Bears (17-1 Overall / 6-0 Conference)
The Bears are definitely in the conversation of top contenders for the national title. They even seem to be playing like the last team win it all. Like the Virginia Cavaliers last season, Baylor has an excellent pair of guards that carry the offense and a defense that chokes out opposing offenses. Baylor is led by Jared Butler and MaCio Teague, who are scoring 15.8 and 13.8 points so far this season, respectively. The Bears also have three other players averaging at least 8.0 points per outing. The Bears are only 118th in the nation with 72.7 points per game, but their offense is 16th overall in terms of efficiency per KenPom. Their defense, on the other hand, is fourth with just 58.6 points allowed per game and fourth also in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. In their last outing, the Bears defeated the Florida Gators on the road handily, 72-61, and will look to extend their win streak to 17 games when they face the Iowa State Cyclones in Ames this Wednesday.
The under is 3-0 in the Bears’ last three games as the home team.
Writer’s Prediction
Baylor wins, 67-59.
