The Tennessee Titans finally got the monkey off their back, as they scored a 24-22 home win against the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday. That could spark the Titans back into winning games, but it’s going to be easier said than done in Week 4 with the Indianapolis Colts hosting Ryan Tannehill and company. The Colts are riding a wave of momentum following a huge 20-17 home win in Week 3 against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Betting on the Tennessee Titans (+3)
Regular Season Record: 1-2
At the end of the day, the Titans still have one of the scariest football players today in the form of running back Derrick Henry. The Titans star had 85 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries against the Raiders. He also caught five passes for 58 receiving yards. Henry can be unstoppable when he wants to, but the Titans can also use their defense to foil the Colts. Tennessee just held the Raiders to only 1/12 third-down completions.
The Titans are 4-0 against the spread in their last four October games. The over is also 8-1-1 in their last 10 October outings.
Betting on the Indianapolis Colts (-3)
Regular Season Record: 1-1-1
Matt Ryan finally got his first win in Colts uniform. Indianapolis will now look to go back-to-back when they host the Titans. Being in friendly territory and without needing to travel for this week’s game, the Colts should come into Sunday’s game as the fresher squad. Hopefully, that could get running back Jonathan Taylor going. He only had 71 rushing yards on 21 carries in Week 3. He can get it going against the Titans who allowed the Raiders to average 5.1 yards per carry in Week 3. A healthier Michael Pittman Jr. could also be a bigger headache this time around after posting 72 receiving yards on eight carries against the Chiefs.
The Colts are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games following a contest in which they failed to muster at least 90 rushing yards. The Under is 8-0 in Indianapolis’ last eight games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Titans win, 26-23.
