Texas is building a new win streak. After beating the West Virginia Mountaineers last Saturday in Morgantown, the Longhorns returned home and took down the Oklahoma State Wildcats last Tuesday, 89-75. The Longhorns are now 6-2 against Big 12 teams. They are also 11-2 straight up versus non-conference opponents. Offense is what’s going to keep making Texas afloat this season. It is averaging over 80 points per game, thanks in part to great ball movement that produces nearly 17 assists per outing. They’re efficient with their shots as well, shooting 48.3 percent from the floor and posting a 54.1 eFG% on the season.
Texas is 3-3 against the spread in its last six games overall.

Tennessee has a date with the Georgia Bulldogs before taking on the Longhorns at home. Both those games will be in Knoxville, so the Volunteers won’t have any level of fatigue due to travel. Tennessee has been mostly successful in SEC play this season, so far. And it’s largely because of their balanced play on offense and defense. Tennessee is 32nd in the nation in adjusted offensive efficiency with 112.6 points per game and No. 1 overall in adjusted defensive efficiency with 83.8 points allowed per 100 possessions. The Vols have excellent rim protection and on-ball defense, placing 21st and sixth overall in the nation in block and steal rates, respectively.
