Washington Redskins vs Seattle Seahawks Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – NFL Week 9 2017

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to maintain their undefeated record at CenturyLink Field when they host the Washington Redskins on Sunday in Week 9. The betting line favors them to do so by a touchdown and while Seattle is 3-0 straight up at home this season, they have failed to cover the spread twice on home turf so far, including in Week 8. They will likely win here, but will they cover?

Betting on the Washington Redskins (3-4)

Point Spread: (+7)

Washington might be ready to hit that panic button as they have lost three of the past four games including two of them being divisional games. The week before, Washington was unable to slow down the Eagles and recently Washington got embarrassed in front of their fans by losing to the Dallas Cowboys.

Let’s take a look at some negatives from this game. Washington was unable to slow down the Cowboys running attack as second year star Ezekiel Elliot ran for 150 yards with two touchdowns. With a heavy running game, Dallas was able to take time away and control the game. With Dallas having a strong running game, Washington was unable to match that type of speed as both running back Ryan Kelley Chris Thompson finished with below 20 total rushing yards.

To seal the game off, Quarterback Kirk Cousins would throw a pick six as it was deflected at the line of scrimmage and went the other way. Enough of the negatives, there were some positives from this game as QB Cousins might actually have a number one wide receiver now. Throughout the whole season Cousins has been struggling to find a true No. 1 but against Dallas he found him. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder finished the day with nine catches and 123 receiving yards on the day.

Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (5-2)

Point Spread: (-7)

What a finish in Seattle as the Seahawks were able to knock off the surging Houston Texans by the final score 41-38 within the final seconds of the game. It was an offensive showdown as quarterback Russell Wilson and rookie DeShaun Watson went to work.

For Seattle, Wilson was the star of the night as he finished the day with 452 total yards threw the air and 30 yards on the ground.

He ended the night in Seattle with four touchdowns including the game winner. It was a huge day for Seattle’s wide receivers as two receivers finished the day with over 100 yards on the day.

Both Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson had an outstanding game. Seattle may of had a great day on offense, but they also changed the momentum of the game three times as the defense picked off Watson three times. Without those interceptions, Houston was going to walk away with the win.

Writer’s Prediction:

This is the game where Washington becomes the lost team in the NFC East. Huge game for Seattle as they stay atop of the NFC West  Pick: Seahawks (-7)
