They will look to extend their magical run when they face the New York Giants in a marquee Sunday afternoon showdown this coming weekend.

Thursday, October 16
New York Jets vs. New England Patriots (8:25 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Patriots -10
[sc:NFL240banner ]Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went 27 of 37 for 361 yards and four touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday to become the fifth player in league history to record 60 300-yard games. He will fancy his chances on extending that streak this coming Sunday when he faces a struggling Jets team that is in the midst of a five-game tailspin.

Sunday, October 19
Atlanta Falcons vs. Baltimore Ravens (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Ravens -7
The Baltimore Ravens bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5 with an emphatic 48-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Quarterback Joe Flacco was the star of show completing five touchdown passes in the first half, the first time a QB has achieved that feat since Tom Brady did that against the Titans back in 2009.
That is certainly bad news for the Falcons who are coming off a 27-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. They have the second worst defense in the league this season allowing a whopping 419.0 total yards per game.
Tennessee Titans vs. Washington Redskins (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Redskins -4.5
Washington’s nightmarish season continued on Sunday as four fourth-quarter turnovers doomed them to a 30-20 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, their third defeat in a row. They will look to snap that losing streak this coming Sunday when they face a Titans team that is back on the winning track after pulling off a two-point win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Titans managed to win the game even if they were outgained 379-290 in total yards. The Titans have struggled on the offensive end this season, averaging just 17.3 points per game which is the fourth-worst mark in the league.
Seattle Seahawks vs. St. Louis Rams (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Seahawks
Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin had a few choice words after the Seahawks suffered a stunning 30-23 home defeat to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. With his frustration boiling over, Baldwin said in an interview, “The offense can’t (bleeping) move the ball. We’ve got too much (bleeping) talent over here not to be moving the ball.” Look for the Seahawks to be more aggressive in their offensive sets this coming Sunday against a Rams defense that allowed a total of 432 yards in a 31-17 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
Cleveland Browns vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Browns -5
The Cleveland Browns will look to extend their two-game winning streak when they face the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars this coming Sunday. The Browns’ confidence is at an all-time high after they scored a commanding 31-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, just their third win against their rivals in 23 tries.
Quarterback Brian Hoyer proved that he is the real leader of the Browns offense completing 8 of 17 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown in the win against the Steelers. He will be licking his chops at the prospect of facing the Jaguars next as Jacksonville, who are still winless in six games, have the second-worst defense in terms of scoring with opponents averaging 30.8 points per contest against them.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Indianapolis Colts (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Colts -3
All is right in Indianapolis once again after the Colts recorded their fourth consecutive win last Thursday to storm into the AFC South lead. They will have to thank quarterback Andrew Luck for their fight back as the 25-year-old is in spectacular form as of the moment, averaging 331.2 passing yards per game this season, the best mark among all starting quarterbacks.
He will meet his match, though this coming Sunday when he squares off with Bengals QB Andy Dalton. Dalton has led the Bengals to the fifth-best offense in the league with Cincinnati averaging 397.0 total yards per game this season.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Buffalo Bills (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Bills -4
The Buffalo Bills were sent crashing back to earth by their division rivals New England Patriots on Sunday as they lost 37-22 to the defending AFC East champions. The Bills had no answer for quarterback Tom Brady especially in the second half as he erupted for 274 yards on 15 of 17 passing to lead the Pats back to the top of the team standings.
The Bills’ defense will have the going much easier this coming Sunday, though, as they will face the struggling Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are currently on a two-game losing streak and have averaged just 6.5 points in those two defeats.
Miami Dolphins vs. Chicago Bears (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Bears -3.5
The Chicago Bears are finally back to winning ways after a comprehensive 27-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Quarterback Jay Cutler rebounded from his two previous lackluster performances, passing for 381 yards and a touchdown as the Bears evened their slate to 3-3.
They can make it back-to-back wins when they square off with the Dolphins who are coming off a tough three-point loss to the Packers. The Dolphins will need to take care of the football more as their three turnovers in the game against Green Bay raised their season tally to already eight for this season.
New Orleans Saints vs. Detroit Lions (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Saints +3
The Detroit Lions showed their defensive mettle on Sunday, limiting the Minnesota Vikings to a lone field goal in a commanding 17-3 win. A much tougher opposition will come their way, however, this coming Sunday as quarterback Drew Brees and the rest of the New Orleans Saints pay a visit to the Motor City. The Saints have the league’s second-best offense, averaging an impressive 442.8 yards per game this season.
Carolina Panthers vs. Green Bay Packers (1:00 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Packers -7
Two elite quarterbacks will do battle on Sunday as Cam Newton and Aaron Rodgers square off at Lambeau Field. Both QBs are coming off impressive performances with Rodgers inspiring the Packers to a thrilling 27-24 comeback win, his four-yard touchdown pass with three seconds remaining the main difference in the match.
Cam Newton, on the other hand, was back to his best against the Bengals in that historic 37-37 tie, completing 29 of 46 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 107 yards and a touchdown in his finest showing in the season so far. His dual-threat ways will be a concern for the Packers who are 20th in the league in total defense allowing 368.0 yards per game this season.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Diego Chargers (4:05 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Chargers -4
The San Diego Chargers had to dig deep on Sunday as they needed a late touchdown from running back Branden Oliver to seal a narrow 31-28 win over the Oakland Raiders who were 7 ½ point underdogs heading into the match. It won’t get any easier for quarterback Philip Rivers, though, this coming Sunday as he will face a Kansas City team that is eighth-best in the league in passing defense this year with an average of 214.4 passing yards per game.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Oakland Raiders (4:25 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Cardinals -3.5
Quarterback Carson Palmer was impressive in his return after a five-week absence, completing 28 of 44 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Cardinals to a 10-point win over the Redskins. As a result, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had a field day as well, tallying a season-high 98 yards on six catches.
With the duo back on form, look for the Cardinals to impose their will against the Raiders. It won’t be that easy, though, as evidenced by Oakland’s tight three-point defeat to the Chargers which was their third win against the spread in five games so far this season.
New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys (4:25 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Cowboys -5.5
There’s just no stopping the Dallas Cowboys right now after they recorded their fifth consecutive victory with a stunning 30-23 win over the defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks. Running back DeMarco Murray was once again the difference-maker for the Cowboys rushing for 115 yards including the go-ahead touchdown with 3:16 remaining to send Dallas to the top of the NFC East standings.
They will look to solidify their hold of the top spot when they face the New York Giants whose three-game winning run was halted by the Philadelphia Eagles in a 27-0 massacre. The Giants will have to get used to life without Victor Cruz as the star wide receiver will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn pattelar tendon in his right knee.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos (8:30 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers came back from 14-0 down to stun the St. Louis Rams 31-17 on Monday night to record their third consecutive win. Wide receiver Anquan Boldin rolled back the years as he grabbed a total of 94 receiving yards and a touchdown to help the 49ers climb to within half a game off Arizona for the NFC West lead. They will face a much tougher test though, this coming Sunday as they square off with the defending AFC champions Denver Broncos who have stormed to a 4-1 slate this season.
Monday, October 20
Houston Texans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (8:30 PM ET)
Writer’s Pick: Steelers -3.5
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be desperate to return to winning ways after the 21-point beat down they suffered at the hands of the Cleveland Browns last Sunday. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had problems dealing with Cleveland’s much-maligned defense, throwing for just 228 yards and one late touchdown as he was sacked twice and intercepted once by the fourth-worst defense in the league.
He will look to make amends against the Houston Texans whose defense is sixth-worst in the league this league this season (397.2 yards per game). Just don’t tell that to defensive end J.J. Watt who is doing everything in his power to help the Texans D right now. He returned a fumble for a 45-yard touchdown (his third of the season), had seven tackles, two sacks, and three passes defensed in a stellar defensive display against the Colts last Thursday.
