Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (4:25 PM ET)
Line: Dallas Cowboys (+3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3); total: 50.0 – view all NFL lines
The Cowboys just keep rolling. Their 35-10 win over the Cleveland Browns was their 7th win in a row. They have gone a perfect 7-0 against the spread in that stretch. The Cowboys running game remains as potent as ever. They lead the league with an average of 165 rushing yards per game.
On the other side, the Steelers will be desperate to snap their current three-game skid. Ben Roethlisberger didn’t look great upon his return from a knee injury in their loss to Baltimore. But with a few more days’ rest, he will look to finally lift a struggling Steelers offense which has averaged just 15 points in their three last games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Steelers (-3) snap the Cowboys’ win streak as they get the 31-27 home win.
Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots (8:30 PM ET)
Line: Seattle Seahawks (+7.5) at New England Patriots (-7.5); total: 49.0 – view all NFL lines
The Super Bowl rematch everyone has been waiting for is here.
The Seahawks will come into this matchup with the Patriots having finally snapped their two-game winless slump with a 31-25 win over the Buffalo Bills. Russell Wilson had his best game of the year as he went 20-of-26 for 282 yards and two passing touchdowns (both to Jimmy Graham). He also had his first rushing touchdown of the season. The defense’s struggles without pass rusher Michael Bennett have continued, though. They have now allowed points in 10 of their opponents’ last 13 possessions.
Meanwhile, the Pats have remained perfect with Tom Brady after beating the Bills 41-25 two weeks ago. They are now 4-0 against the spread, with an average margin of victory of 19.5 points. Brady has an otherworldly 133.9 passer rating on the season, and is sporting a 12-to-0 touchdown-to-interception ratio. The Pats should also be well-rested and well-prepared after their bye. They are 12-4 after their bye week in the Bill Belichick era.
Writer’s Prediction
The Brady-led Pats (-7.5) remain perfect as they top the Seahawks, 34-24.
