Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NFL Week 13 – December 2 2019

The Seattle Seahawks are still hoping to catch the San Francisco 49ers for the top spot in the NFC West. A win for them and a loss by the 49ers this week will see the two teams tied in first place in the division. As for the Minnesota Vikings, a win this week and a loss by the Green Bay Packers would put Minnesota on top of the NFC North. The Vikings and the Seahawks are both +1200 and to win Super Bowl 54, respectively.

Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (8-3)

Kirk Cousins had another one of those “Do you like that?!” moments the last time the Vikings were on a field. That was when he led the team to a come-from-behind 27-23 win at home over the Denver Broncos back in Week 11 (before Minnesota’s bye). The Vikings were trailing Denver at the half, 20-0, but Cousins took control of the offense and tossed three touchdowns in the second half before finishing with 319 passing yards on 29-of-35 completions. Cousins did all that without Adam Thielen, who was nursing a hamstring injury. Thielen remains questionable to play in Week 13 as of this writing, and if gets ruled out, Stefon Diggs will once again carry most of the burden downfield. Diggs had 121 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches against Denver. On defense, the Vikings can also get the job done, as they are sixth in the league with only 18.6 points allowed per game.

The Vikings are 5-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games.

Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (9-2)

The Seahawks have been mainly about Russell Wilson, but their defense is starting to contribute. The Seahawks, who took down the Philadelphia Eagles, 17-9, on the road last week, are just 21st in the NFL this season with 23.9 points allowed per game, but it’s showing promise of late. Against the Eagles, they picked Carson Wentz off two times and sacked him three times. And they did that minus pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, who was sidelined by a hip injury. Clowney wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday, but head coach Pete Carroll said that he’s “counting on” Clowney to be active in Week 13, though, anyone who’s listened to Carroll talk about his players’ chances to play in an upcoming day knows that it’s hard to take his words seriously. In any case, the most important thing for the Seahawks is that Russell Wilson is ready to play. Wilson heads the Seahawks’ offense that is seventh in the NFL with 26.5 points per game.

The Seahawks are 3-0 ATS in their last three games.

Writer’s Prediction

The Vikings win, 24-21.
