With a playoff berth and a division title in the bag, the New Orleans Saints (+450 to win Super Bowl 54) immediate goal right now is to win the no. 1 seed in the NFC. They can boost their chances with a win over the Tennessee Titans this weekend. The Titans, however, will be all out in this game, as they look to keep their own chances to win the AFC South – or at least a wildcard berth – alive.

Betting on the New Orleans Saints (11-3)
The Saints bounced back in a big way from their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 by dismantling the Indianapolis Colts at home Monday night, 34-7. Drew Brees was simply sensational, as he churned out the best passing performance of the year by any quarterback in the NFL by completing 29 of 30 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. He wasn’t sacked nor was intercepted. To top it all off, Brees became the NFL’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns, surpassing Peyton Manning for the record. With Brees coming off a performance like that, he’s a trouble looming for the Titans’ pass defense that is only ranked in the league’s bottom third in pass defense with 258.1 passing yards per game allowed
The Saints, who are averaging 27.0 points per game, have covered the spread in seen of their last 10 games. The under is 2-1 in their last three outings.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (8-6)
The Titans’ offense that was flying during a recent four-game winning streak ran into an electric cable last Sunday during their 24-21 home loss to the Houston Texans. The Titans have scored at least 31 points in each of the four games prior to the meeting with the Texans. Against Houston, Ryan Tannehill passed for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns with an interception on 22-of-36 completions, while also rushing for a score. Derrick Henry was held down to just 86 rushing yards on 21 carries after a monster stretch that saw him rush for at least 103 yards and rack up seven touchdowns in the previous four games. It’s the Titans’ defense, though, that will have to tighten the buckle the most heading into the matchup against the high-scoring Saints. The Titans are allowing 21.6 points and 328.8 total yards per game, which are 14 and 10th in the league, respectively.
The Titans are 6-4 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Saints win, 32-23.
